Aurora BayCare opened in September 2001 as a joint effort of Aurora Health Care and BayCare Clinic. Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
BayCare Clinic is the largest physician-owned specialty care clinic in northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It’s comprised of over 100 specialty physicians with expertise in more than 20 specialties. BayCare Clinic physicians have served patients in Green Bay and the surrounding region for more than 25 years.
Also located on the Aurora BayCare Medical Center campus is the Aurora BayCare Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center, which opened in June of 2008 offering pediatrics, orthopedics and a premier athletic performance enhancement facility.
Like Aurora Health Care, Aurora BayCare is among the 250 health systems and hospitals nationwide participating in the national CMS/Premier Hospital Quality Incentive Demonstration project. Aurora BayCare was named the top-performing hospital in this nationwide demonstration project, and Aurora Health Care was the top-performing health care system in the nation for two years in a row.
